The incidence of coronavirus in Estonia has increased by 21% over the past week, and there are more patients with COVID-19 in hospitals.

Over the past week, 120 new cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in the country, which is 21.2% more than a week earlier, writes Rus.ERR with reference to the Health Department.

“The increase in the total number of cases of the disease is likely due to the youth Song and Dance Festival at Kalevi Keskstaadion in Tallinn, Estonia,” the department’s epidemiological review says.

According to hospitals, 30 patients were hospitalized during the week (11 a week earlier) with coronavirus: 13 patients, or 43.4% of all hospitalized, were admitted to hospitals due to symptomatic COVID-19.
